GREEN PEPPER IN BRINE

CRISTA offers you our signature whole Green Pepper in brine sourced directly from the growing regions in Kerala and Karnataka. Our supplier base has been built over four decades of trust and our spices frequently sampled to pass American Spice Trade Association (ASTA) specifications for cleanliness.

Origin

Green peppercorns in brine are unripe black peppercorns that have been plunged into boiling water. This inactivates the ripening enzymes and stops the peppercorns from turning black.

How to Store

CRISTA will provide you with an airtight bottle. Refrigerate after use for best results.

Taste

A fresh and hot bite but milder than black peppercorns but with an interesting “zing” to it.

Crista Tips

Add some peppercorns on top of a salad or as an accompaniment with curd and rice or curd and khichdi. Green Pepper in brine should be used within 2 weeks of opening.

CRISTA QUALITY CONTROL TIP:

Spices should ideally be stored between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius. Under ideal conditions, ground spices will keep for 1 year and whole spices for 1 to 2 years. Tightly close the container immediately after use and return it to a cold storage space as soon as possible.
