DID YOU KNOW?
Pepper was used in medieval times as monetary exchange for paying taxes and in dowries. Elihu Yale, a former governor of Madras, amassed a fortune from the spice trade. He later founded Yale University in the United States of America with his profits without ever going back there to see the college.
CRISTA QUALITY CONTROL TIP:
Spices should ideally be stored between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius. Under ideal conditions, ground spices will keep for a year and whole spices for 1 to 2 years. Tightly close the container immediately after use and return it to a cold storage space as soon as possible.
